Magic came to us in December of 2006 in a trade for a gelding I had.  She is closely bred with her grandsire being Missouri Traveler E. on both sides.  Everyone that has ridden her has said she is the smoothest riding horse they have ever sat on.  She is short and compact and only about 14.1 hands.  That should qualify her for the Foxtrotter Pony registry.  She is already registered with the Foundation Foxtrotter Heritage Association and has a V factor of V-72.  She has also been DNA’d.

I bred her to my stallion Baron in 2007 and on June 2, 2008 she had a sorrell colt I named Glenmar’s Sundance.

Magic and Sundance

Sundance was a very large colt when he was born and Magic milked like  a Jersy cow.  By the time he was 5 months old, visitor’s were mistaking him for a draft horse cross.  He has a very nice foxtrot out in the pasture plus good bone and great feet.  I believe the cross with my stallion worked very well.

We haven’t done much with Magic since she had been busy raising Sundance.  We do plan on putting her through our training program this Spring (2010) and getting her training up to our expectations.
