Baron’s Candi King
MFTHBA # 02-75174
Legend’s Cock Robin X Baron’s Candi Miss
C.K. is the horse my husband picked out for himself on that December trip to Missouri. He is a good 16 hands and has a huge heart girth. Some of the well-known horses in his pedigree are The Legend M., Missouri Traveler E., Zane Grey and Toddy’s Perfection. His registered name is Baron’s Candi King, but Glenn didn’t want any part of his horse being named that. So we just call him C.K.
At the time C.K. was only 3 years old and couldn’t have had much training. But he was absolutely perfect on our trail ride. My husband is a very novice rider and it’s not usually a good idea to put a novice rider on a novice horse, but these two are a match made in Heaven. C.K. really doesn’t know very much but will do anything Glenn asks of him. And Glenn rides like he drives a car. Reins dropped over the horn, looking everywhere and not really paying much attention to where he is going.
That’s ok with C.K. Every now and then, you will see the two of them just wandering off the trail down through the woods. And when you ask Glenn where he is going, he always replies, “I don’t know, C.K. wanted to go over there to look at something” So he just goes along for the ride. It’s really amazing to watch the two of them together. But they have never had a problem out on the trail and have always gotten back in one piece. Amazingly.
Glenn says he would sell C.K. if someone offerred him enough money. But I really don’t believe anyone is paying that for horses anymore!
Because of all my recent surgeries, we haven’t done much riding the last couple of years. But looking forward to getting back out on the trails in 2010.
